Sandra S. Jaffee, CEO
Sandra S. Jaffee formerly worked at Warburg Pincus as Entrepreneur-in-Residence where she focused on the media and business service sectors. Prior to Warburg Pincus, Ms. Jaffee was Executive Vice President of Citibank. As President and CEO of Citibank's Global Securities Services, Ms. Jaffee was in charge of Citibank's securities processing and transaction businesses, serving global issuers, intermediaries, and investors. During her tenure at Citibank, Ms. Jaffee was also responsible for relationship management and client coverage for Citigroup's Financial Institutions in Global Transaction Services. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of The Hartford Mutual Funds. Ms. Jaffee received her B.A. from Tufts University.
Ed Baum, Chief Marketing Officer
A financial services and technology marketing expert for more than 25 years, Ed Baum is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that will enhance the company's leadership position in the anti-money laundering compliance and risk management areas. Previously, Mr. Baum was Global Marketing Director of the transaction services businesses at Citigroup and Chase Manhattan Bank. He has also held positions in retail financial services and banking corporate public affairs. Earlier in his career, Mr. Baum was a business correspondent in Washington, D.C. He received his B.A. from Cornell University.
Robert Binney, Vice Chairman
Robert Binney has over 30 years of client services and business development experience at two major financial institutions. At Chase Manhattan Bank, his assignments included building a corporate finance business in Hong Kong and serving as Chief Country Officer in Tokyo. Mr. Binney was head of Chase's custody business in Europe before moving to Citibank, where he was Managing Director for the Financial Institutions business for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), a part of Global Securities Services. Most recently, Mr. Binney was the Senior Relationship Manager for 25 major clients for the Global Transaction Bank. Mr. Binney is a graduate of Cambridge University, and he received his M.B.A. from the University of Manchester.
Edward C. Fargis, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Edward Fargis has more than fifteen years experience in corporate law and compliance, most recently as Vice President and Counsel for Medco Health Solutions, Inc. At Medco, Mr. Fargis was responsible for securities law and NYSE listing compliance, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate governance. Previously, Mr. Fargis was General Counsel and Secretary of Multex, a provider of technology solutions, proprietary data and investment decision support tools to the financial services industry. Mr. Fargis was associated with the law firm of Battle Fowler LLP from 1993 until 2000. He is a graduate of Hamilton College and the Fordham University School of Law.
George Faux, Group Executive, Client Relationship Management
A veteran of sales and client management in the financial services industry, George Faux spent 18 years at Citigroup and Chase Manhattan Bank. Most recently, Mr. Faux was based in London, serving as managing director and senior business manager for Citigroup's Depository Receipt Services and Agency and Trust businesses in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), and Asia/Pacific. He also managed sales and relationship management teams at Chase's Private Bank in EMEA, Latin America, and Asia/Pacific. Mr. Faux received his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and a master's degree in International Economics/International Relations with a concentration in Middle Eastern Studies from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
Tony Guarascio, CFO
Tony Guarascio has over 20 years of experience as Chief Financial Officer of two publicly traded international companies. During this time he has gained extensive experience in software companies with both perpetual and "On-Demand" delivery models. From 2003 to 2005 Mr. Guarascio was the CFO of HSS, a private software company that develops and deploys knowledge-driven methodologies that enhance the decision-making and effectiveness of healthcare delivery. Between 1998 and 2003 he was the CFO of SS&C, a public company that is a leading provider of financial software solutions, services, and expertise to asset managers worldwide. Prior to that, Mr. Guarascio was the CFO of Executone, a public company that designed, manufactured, and distributed customer premise equipment and network services to solve customers' telecommunications needs.
Kay LaBare, Chief Technology Officer
Kay LaBare is responsible for all market-facing and internal technology including product development. Ms LaBare is an experienced technology executive who has led global teams and built integrated platforms for complex product suites in leading financial services and information services companies. Ms LaBare has held senior technology positions at Thomson Financial, most recently as Chief Technology Officer for Thomson's Investment Banking and Healthcare groups, where she was responsible for architecture, product delivery and infrastructure. She also has worked at the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), leading an enterprise-wide technology strategy effort, and at T. Rowe Price, the mutual funds company. Ms LaBare holds a M.S. degree from Hood College and a B.S. degree from the University of Maryland.
Mary Jane McKeever, Group Executive, Alliances and Strategic Partnerships
A business leader in the telecommunications field, Mary Jane McKeever spent 23 years at AT&T, where she successfully led several divisions including the Skynet Satellite division, the government solutions business (professional services), and the networking and business solutions division for AT&T's largest customers. Ms. McKeever received a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
Bruce Pagliuca, Group Executive, Professional Services
Bruce Pagliuca is an accomplished business executive with more than 20 years experience working in fast-growing software and services companies. Mr Pagliuca joins Fortent from Oracle, where he was most recently vice president for global customer solutions and operations for a division providing software and services to the retail industry. From 2002 to 2005, Mr Pagliuca served in senior management roles at ProfitLogic, a software and services provider which Oracle purchased. Prior positions included chief operating officer of Armature, another international services provider to the retail industry.
Ray Parodi, Group Executive, Product Management
A 38-year veteran of the banking industry, Ray Parodi is responsible for product management for Fortent products and services as well as risk management, regulatory affairs, and planning. Mr. Parodi's career in banking included senior positions in product, operations and risk management areas focusing on financial institution customers. Most recently, Mr. Parodi was the Managing Director in charge of sales, marketing, and relationship management for banks and broker dealers in Citigroup's transaction services business. He has served on the boards of leading global financial industry trade groups, including ISSA (International Securities Services Association) and SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication), advising on such policy areas as cross-border settlement and payments risk. Mr. Parodi received a B.A. from Queens College and completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School.
Kurt Schneiber, President
Kurt Schneiber is an accomplished business leader with more than twenty years of international management experience. He was most recently executive director of the Student Loan Corporation at Citibank and served as chairman of a technology company processing over $19 billion of student loan transactions for the student loan industry. Previously at Citibank, Mr Schneiber was global head of relationship management and product sales for the Energy, Power and Chemicals Group. He also served as business head of Citi's Depositary Receipts business and the Global Securities Services head for emerging markets. Mr Schneiber holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of South Carolina.
Ted Weissberg, Group Executive, Information and Training
Before joining Fortent, Ted Weissberg spent 15 years at Thomson Financial as an Editor, Publisher, and then Group Publisher of Thomson's Capital Markets publications. He oversaw an acquisition that more than tripled the revenue of his group. As President of Thomson Financial Venture Economics, he built the financial industry's leading information provider. Mr. Weissberg then served as Managing Director of Editorial and Publishing for TF Banking & Brokerage, where he delivered substantial revenue and EBITDA growth after four years of decline. He is the author of two books: a biography of tennis star Arthur Ashe, and an exposé of NCAA sports scandals. Mr. Weissberg received a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
